Actually, this is a new feature in the SVN (relatively unannounced). In the SVN you can throw the flag, so you could throw it to your teammate (as seen in this picture). It makes the game a bit more like football or the sort.

you should be able to continue a tktf flagholding if you throw it to a teammate and they catch it before it touches the ground
