That would be cheating, so no, it's not possible via config files.

I don't know of any way to increase a specific sound's volume in config, but you could amplify the file in an audio editor (Audacity's nice) or see if there's any control over the volume in source code, edit that, and recompile the client.

I believe that can be done through sounds.cfg.

/me goes straight to Movavi and starts editing the file volume...
EDIT:
Wierd...
When i listen to it instead of saying "Headshot" he says "... ...HEAD".
wtf?

Also, i remember asking this a while ago and someone told me you could change it in the config file. Cant remember how though.
EDIT AGAIN: Sounds.cfg perhaps?

Thanks #M|A#Wolf.

In the sounds.cfg, go to line 60,this one:
registersound "misc/headshot" 10          // 49 - S_HEADSHOT
and change the value 10 by something higher. I chose 50, it's nice.

If the sound could be played when we "headshoot" someone, that would be fantastic. Actually, it's only played someone else headshoots (or did I miss something?)

How would it be cheating? If you hear that, it already too late lol.
Btw you can increase the sound by editing the audio file with something like audacity.
I have muted tinnitus like that (not sure it give me an unfair advantage, I just do not hear that fucking lame noise anymore when I am naded)
