Server Issues

When running a standard server, it connects to the master server properly. But, on the server list I can only see my servers external ip and when attempting to connect I begin to lag. I have had a server running for some time and have changed the ports that I was previously forwarding. But, the issue still remains...
Please help!

the only reason you see the IP is probably due to not having the correct server commandline loading into the server. the other problem concerning lag might be a bandwidth issue resulting from hosting a server from your computer. if it is VPS, it still might be a bandwidth issue. check to see what kinda specs your internet (or vps) has and consult the docs and that may answer any questions.

Or use 'Multiplayer>Join Lan server' from the menu.
