ping players tag mode/map server
28 13/20 Official ctf/ac_mines favourite.cubers.net
29 17/18 Custom ctf/apollo_desert custom.tyd.com
11 4/12 Ladder osok/ac_douze osok_ladder.mys.net
* sorting maps by tags by default on MS
* possibility to get quality custom map up
* rules for getting each tag (ping, maprot rules, players count etc. it depends what you will define)
* official tag will receive official DNS record
* remove restrictions, keep home made and servers with crappy home made maps without tag, so you will stay to open for testers (host your first server of game, create your first map online, modify your first game)
I think the official skeleton of the game isn't visible online enough. The skeleton created from tag representation can be very stable and visible. You will have the skeleton under control and you can inspire in the bottom of the MS list what next.
Only you need people to manage it.

A little more clarification might help me understand.
Is this a proposal for what you'd like the Server Browser to do?

The tag would be registered to database on MS and as player you would see it in Server Browser. Registration of tag can be through AC forum.

Ladders are not officials and 99% of modified maprots have customs maps.

one server = one tag, hence ladder tag isn't really official tag
The tag is privilege for server owner, his server will be up. And the other hand he must follow some rules.
Official really means for example only default maps in maprot, some ping and no uploading custom maps etc.
Custom in this case means no default maps, certain type and quality of maprot, for example maps from mappack etc.
It will be servers, representing AC.

Nope, if you are good server owner, you can register and you will receive tag.

Really good idea, I hope devs will make it, I think it's one of the best ideas since we are improving in servers cmd on AC etc...

Ived always hated the fact that people called ranked servers "Ladders" but however this is a good idea. Maybe they should put the servers in to categories with the sub categories as servers.
So an example would be
# of servers Type of server
(10) Favorites
(34) Official
(56) Ranked aka Ladder
(45) custom
(25) password
(267) Idle
when a category is clicked it would show the servers under the category and thier status(ping,# of players,ect.)
Idle are the online servers that are empty.

I like this idea, although I would still like the option of being able to see the whole list if I would like.
