Master server is not replying

Hi.

I have been playing AC for a long time. Recently, as in the last week or so, it has started saying "Master server is not replying" when trying to update the server list.

I go by the name of 'verbal' in the game. I can see no reason why I should have been banned, I never use hacks and I always play fair.

I have:

* Checked for firewall/ports issues in both OS and ADSL router.
* Pinged masterserver.cubers.net, which replies in ~49ms.
* Tried downloading from this site, the Ubuntu package manager. Also tried the game in Windows 7, same problem there.

Any ideas as to what can be the problem?
