playing a custom map online

I just want to know how to play my map online with other people
Do i need my own non-LAN sever?

No you can go into a server and type /sendmap <mapnamehere>

Uh.... I tried it but it said that it couldn't read map package

Not all servers will allow you to upload map without admin.

Anyways find a server that allows map uploading. Playing the map is a different story if it doesn't pass map requisites.

If it says that it doesn't read map package then you probably made a mistake in typing the map name or you have put the map somewhere unusual.
