Many people are experiencing problems to run the mac version of the AC1.1 alpha.
The reason, according to WahnFred (our xcoder) is very simple: if you do not have X11, you will miss a lib necessary to run the MAC version (I do not remember the name of the lib now).
Please, be patient or try to install this lib by yourself. :P

The needed library: /usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib

Any detailed (for noobs) explanation for avoiding the 1.0.4 version mixing with 1.1?

Yes, remove the -home argument from the launcher or something.

Where is the home argument and how do I change it to another directory?

Just change it in the additinal arguments of your launcher. Something like that:
--home="/home/IamWolf/AssaultCube_v1.1"

I don't get an error. It just freezes on start screen. I even waited for 45 minutes but still no luck.
I can't find CrashReporter in CoreServices folder nor in Console.

Where? I right click on the launcher and click something or what?
[Edit] And if not, start the game with the terminal ...

I don't get that though. The launcher I get is assaultcube above the config folder and there is no terminal involved.

Of course there is no terminal. You have to start a terminal session on your own :P

In the launcher, there should be an 'advanced options' field or something like that. There you put that --home line.
