I have been trying for sometime now to create my own server but I cant becuz this message keeps appearing at the end of server wizard:writing your configuration to server_autoconfigured.bat ... Failed!
Another application in the assault cube folder named server also says: WARNING: master server registration failed: failed pinging server
How do I go about fixing this? Many thanks in advance.

You need to forward your ports, and not use server_wizard.

i hav vista (SHITBOX OPERATING SYSTEMS INCORPERATED). idk how to foward ports tho. srry. im a noob at computers

Have a look at
Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model - PortForward.com to forward your router ports.
Allow AC in your installed firewall.

Well this happens as you got no permission to write files in this directory (default in Vista and 7)
The wizard tries to write an executable file with the configs you set.
