Waiting for server response

Hi, I just downloaded AssaultCube, so I'm a noob to the whole MultiPlayer stuff. When I do MultiPlayer, ALL the servers say "waiting for server response" or something like that, and when I try to join it fails. Is it because of my internet connection?

Do you get a message in the Upper Left Corner of the screen saying "Master Server not replying"?

Are you accessing the internet from a school, college, university or another place where some things are likely blocked?

^ Arent some ports blocked in germany/other places?

Probably internet problem or firewall setting?

Fawkez you might want to try the following,
(first press ` or /) to get the text open with a "/" pretyped. Then put the following in that text area in the bottom left of your screen:

/connect 213.163.85.149 20000

I used to have trouble with time outs for server list but I could still connect directly to servers. This isn't a solution just finding clarity to problem (similar to guy asking about Master server message).
