It looks like a glitch in AC. By inserting backslashes in the map name when voting, it causes the client to constantly try to download the file.

e.g. upload ac_mymap, then vote for this\is\ac_mymap

Maybe this should be split into a bug report.

Dis-regard this post, because it was the first time I've ever seen the console go crazy then he voted his map.. Though i tested a random map with a backslash in front of the mapname and same thing, console goes crazy and confuses me.. http://img857.imageshack.us/img857/2365/...wytown.png

strange doesn't give any errors from what i saw in the console screeny ^

The only reason i reported was because I read some stuff the people could upload and vote maps with viruses or malicious stuff in or attached to the maps themselves :/

I'm looking into this. What OS do you use, and what OS is that server running on?
Thanks given by:

The server is on a vps running CentOS 5.5. My client OS is OpenSUSE 11.4 x86_64. The key issue seems to be that the check to see if the map is on the server gives a false positive due to the slash preceding a valid map name.

Good news everyone! tempest committed a fix for this in SVN.

Meaning this should be closed! Thank you for your report! Tempest can only use his swatter when he knows where to place it!
