Graphics Card.

Hey guys, I was wondering your recommendations for a graphics card was.

I'm thinking AMD, nVidia, or ATi for a Windows 7 Home Premium laptop.

Intel i3 or i5 processor.

You listed pretty much all of them. jamz, don't post an obscure picture of a dead gfx card company. I recommend nvidia just because I have one (GT 330m on this notebook), and it works fine for AC.

Mod edit: WTH?

Works fine for AC isn't necessarily very good praise.

I'm thinking something that can handle emulated Gamecube, Xbox, or PS2 games and keep a constant FPS of at least 50.

Or handle Alliance of Valiant Arms at it's max settings

AMD is ATI..

ATI 5770 or
Nvidia GTX 460

Nvidia is the best. AMD ATi graphics is 'Ok' imo. Both beat mine anyday.

I have integrated graphics card with i3 processor on my laptop :/

Well, I'm thinking i3 or i5 are the best processors around, if you want to stay below 700 dollars, I'm not sure about AMD Phenom II's, or any others. And I don't want Intel graphics.

er.... laptop? I really suggest you don't modify your laptop... Especially the GPU since it involves practically dismantling the entire thing. Therefore it's very risky and there's a good chance you may end up screwing up your laptop, rendering it useless. :|

If you want a better laptop, might as well purchase a new one.

I bid you good luck on your kweest for moar FPS, good sir!

Wait Mai Mee Tur; are you going to buy a new laptop or do you already own a laptop with Windows 7? Because I don't think you can change your graphics card in a laptop.

It's possible, but very difficult and risky.

I'm meaning to buy a new laptop, sorry for the confusion.

I wouldn't want to try and do anything with a laptop like that, a computer would be no problem.

Look for a laptop with Intel's SandyBridge CPU's

Here is what I am running on:

Asus - Laptop
Intel® Core™ i7-740QM processor
6GB DDR3 memory
Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support
17.3" LED-backlit high-definition widescreen display
640GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 rpm)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics
8-in-1 media reader
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit

I have not had any problems running Assault Cube, or any other games.
It is a bit pricey at $1,199.00 but well worth it. Besides it is easier to upgrade if I need to. I think something like this would work great for you.

Very nice Lantry. I've got a similar computer except my gfx card is better, but everything else about yours is better than mine (8-cell battery, bluetooth, 7200rpm hdd).
