Create a new folder in your AssaultCube home called "scripts".
Open autoexec.cfg for editing.
Add this to it:
Save it.
Now, every .cfg file you put in your scripts folder will be automatically executed when you start AC! :D
Mac users feel free to add to this process if it's different for Macs.

It's still important for tools.cfg to be executed first, especially when you install tools.cfg along with other scripts that depend on it.

so do we still have to put tools.cfg in the config folder, and have 'exec config\tools.cfg' in the line before 'execdir scripts', or is there another way we should do it?
btw, thanks for this. i searched the forum for it earlier, but couldn't find it.

That's the main way tools.cfg should be executed, but yes, basically any method works as long as tools.cfg is the first custom script executed.

For mac users, its the same process. However, getting there is different.
