If you have changes that you think would be a good idea, you can always send the new map to the original creator (in a PM, not in a public thread) and they may consider it. I wouldn't get your hopes up though.

I have a clan member who edited the official map "ac_douze" (he didn't know it wasnt allowed). Anyway, I told him how he can't edit official maps but he persisted on playing it. I told him we can play on it ONLY when/if he got permission from whoever is in-charge of this stuff. He now claims that he got permission from the map owner/maker, named "Josh", however I am still skeptical that he actually did :S

I just want to make sure it is OK to play the map so my server doesn't shut down.

My advice to you:

1- Remove him from your clan
2- Fill out the BL template with his information

The map doesn't even look like douze anymore. He clearly didn't get permission, I don't know any maker of ac_douze named "Josh." Simply, get rid of him.

NO maps are allowed to be edited w/o permission, regardless of being official or not. period.

I played a Douze with water filled in on the lower level the other day. Should have paid more attention as to who made that map and what server it was on.

Maybe a little water isn't that bad (although it's clearly not allowed), but if someone did that ^^ to my map, I'd get really furious.
