I play all my FPS's at 800x600 windowed for the framerate boost. AC would run fine fullscreen, but I'm so used to that resolution that I tend to just prefer it now.

I just use a keybind on linux:

[SELECT ALL] Code:

bind 0 [ if (= $fullscreen 1) [ fullscreen 0 ] [ fullscreen 1 ] ]

Lets me toggle in and out of fullscreen to reply to stuff if I'm just in a pub.

Generally though I only play fullscreen.

Actually I think that playing in full screen make's a boost of FPS, anyways I have 200 FPS whit all on high settings. :)

Since I limit AC to 200fps anyhow, I should actually play windowed 1280x720. It would fix the gamma problem of alt-tabbing out of AC.

Actually, windowed mode is the one that boosts the FPS ;)

No. At the same resolution, fullscreen will always have better framerate. 1440x900 fullscreen vs 800x600 windowed is not a fair comparison (nor is 1366x768 vs 1280x720). For example, on fullscreen 1280x720 I can get up to 600fps, 400fps normally. When windowed, it never goes above 300fps.
