What would you like to mod?

Open assaultcube.bat in notepad; you will be able to edit it there.
It should look something like this:
bin_win32\client.exe --init %1 %2 %3 %4 %5
pause

To use the mods folder, change it to look like this:
bin_win32\client.exe --mod=mods --init %1 %2 %3 %4 %5

From now on, content placed in the mods folder will be used instead of content in the normal home folder, if it is placed in an appropriate place and has the appropriate name! :D
Read the docs regarding this subject for more info: http://assault.cubers.net/docs/mods.html

Seven minutes! Beat that!!

LOL.
Uhm.
I said "something like" that. Let's see...
bin_win32\ac_client.exe --mod=mods --init %1 %2 %3 %4 %5
You can copy and paste that and it'll work.

I'll give you four options! :D

http://www.hydrairc.com/
http://www.mirc.com/
http://www.mibbit.com/
http://irc.des-clan.net/

That last one will log you in directly to #dedicatedelitesoldiers, a channel which usually has a good number of users online. Not me, though! I'm off to bed!

All you need to do Mr. Ub3R L33t is to put your own data into your game-home (not the game-install dir!).
BTW: This is not what we actually call a MOD - which would be a new binary/exe; although it technically does modify the game. Usually we stress this bit by calling it a content-mod(ification).
