We did? O_o I must have a horrible memory...

Option to set the "resolution" of reflections.

- Make the map restrictions only apply when mastermode is 0

When playing Gemas Id love to have different voice commands that apply better to the game. For example Abe of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee saying HELLO! FOLLOW ME! WAIT! OK! WHISTLE! FART! LOL!
And the SLIG saying HI! WAIT! WHAT! HERE BOY! HEALP! LOL!
Itll add to tha gema experience as they are useful voicecoms (not that they need to be abe´s but i think they fit perfectly..!)

You can already change the text that accompanies your voicechat, and you can also specify the sound (i think). I'm sure if you or someone made a GEMA voice chat soundpack, I'm sure gema players would use it.

Sometimes it happens you are playing a great game when someone votes an ac_douze CTF or any other map and ruins it for you. The idea is that players can vote a map whenever they want, but maps will only change at intermission. This only applies if server is open, if mastermode is 1 or 2 then this would be disabled for easy voting in matches.

DEVS, PLEASE DO THIS.

no voting til the end of current game
Thanks given by:
no map voting you mean?
Thanks given by:
yeah
Thanks given by:
No he means that even if the vote passes, the map loads till the end of the current game
Thanks given by:
That has the problem of (for example) you are playing a nice match of CTF on outpost or something else unusual and refreshing, when the game ends and the next map on the rotation is CTF on douze (or someone has successfully voted CTF on douze.) You then have to finish this douze match before you can play something preferable.
You could always change servers, but you shouldn't have to and for people from Australia and other countries that are neither the USA or in Europe, finding decent servers can be considerably more difficult.

This is ok for me. These ongoing votes for MODE/MAP during a game is pretty annoying. Especially cause there are still people who cant accept a "no" or jumped only in to disturb a game.

is it possible to add auto update feature to the next release?

You mean a little notification pop-up in-game when there's a new version? So you just click on the notification and it downloads automatically?
Thanks given by:
That'd have some serious back-door issues. Not like that.

no before the game starts, it checks for update like other games and programs

I think the knifing animation should be changed. Currently it looks like someone trying to spread butter. I also think it would look a lot better if when the knife is wielded it pointed forward, rather than to the sky.

Strato's scissors mod has a very nice stabbing animation: http://www.akimbo.in/forum/viewtopic.php...=706#p2791

<3 the scissors
And yeah, the current knife action is a bit weird. A nice stabbing upwards motion would be so much more satisfying and violent :)

And an idea: fog argument to reset it to what the map's .cfg says.

bind z [ fog 1024; fov 75; onrelease [ fog 0; fov 120 ] ]
(for example)

Some ideas (i havent tested the svn yet)

*Date and GMT time in the score board (right next to the server ip)
*Red console msg for ALL clients containing a teamkill (unarmed splattered teammate armed)
*Edit "Delete" command with the x y z arguments (/delete entity 100 50 2)

*Weapon balance:
- Allow Carbine heashots (its a precise weapon, no scope though)
- Increase delay between Shotgun shots (i think it's a must...)
- Less Assault Rifle damage (everyone agrees it's overpowered, plus it has the back sprint advantage)

*More secondary weapons to chose from:
- Revolver (6 bulets, more damage, more delay between shots compared to pistol)
- Crossbow (3 arrows max, 30-40 damage, huge delay between shots)

*More melees:
- Catana (more range, less damage compared to knife)
- Axe (more damage, more delay compared to knife)

*(i havent tested the svn yet)

Most of those Ideas sound good, especially having a revolver as an optional secondary (as I imagine this would require relatively little balancing), but I don't think we need any more melee weapons, and the crossbow seems useless; the carbine has a clip of ten, does 60 damage, and fires quickly.
Thanks given by:
I like yours ideas macm, though I wouldn't go and add all those four melee weapons you mentioned. I would think max two of those, I agree with all four of them except Crossbow; however, I don't think the game needs more melee weapons, like Lantry mentioned.

With the Shotgun being overpowered right now, I would be inclined to change it in two ways:
1) Make the delays between shots longer
2) Reduce the amount of shells able to be shot without reloading. Right now it is set to seven, but I think either three or four would be just right. By reducing the amount of shells, it forces the shotgunners (which most just shoot randomly when they see the enemy's colors) to actually think before pressing the trigger.

Or just spam 3-4 times and Die reloading.

I think this is an excellent idea. I've got an idea for how to implement this: on all servers when mastermode is 0 (open), only /setnext and /gonext are available, not /mode ; map. Basically /setnext is an under-appreciated command that calls a vote to load the specified map/mode after the current match. /gonext is yet another under-appreciated command that calls a vote to immediately skip to the next map in queue on the server's map rotation (or the map specified by /setnext). All the regular map/mode votes (/(t)dm /(t)osok /ctf etc, /mode ; map) would only be allowed in private or match mastermodes.

This way, players could vote for the next map at any time through /setnext, and if the current map/mode is way too dull, /gonext could be used to skip it. Of course servers don't necessarily need to allow /gonext from non-admin players but it would still be handy to rock the vote with it.

I was thinking about this last night and I thought why dont admins have special abilities. Only on their server if they choose to they can sort of hack it. They can (only when they are admin) have the ability to remove walls so they can see everyone or something to give them the edge. They can only use this when someone on their server is being a douche but they want to embarass them before kicking/banning. A new vote can be made that admin has no vote ability over just in case the admin abuses the ability so they can't use the ablity for a set number of hours. Just a thought that I think could make the servers less abusive.
Thanks given by:
Er, make the servers less abusive by adding easily abusable features with lots of gray areas? Not to sound too harsh or anything, but I do think you're capable of coming up with better ideas than that one. :p

... BANHAMMER TIME ...

But seriously, WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU POST THIS ... I'm sorry, but no one in their right mind would go along with this, not to insult you or anything, but leave hax to haxors, and leave server owners, admins, and community members that care to deal with it.

Edit : Thanks Bukz, for properly explaining to him that this was a bad idea.
Thanks given by:
What about this: if an admin calls a vote on someone for cheating/hacking, the game automatically generates a report on the logs ands saves the demo of that game with a related name.

Wow, Great idea jAcK
