so...here i am.
I have got all my settings to just how i want them, binded keys, damage screen settings, video settings, etc.
Everytime i update the game i have to uninstall and then install again and the settings are lost.
i want to copy the configuration settings to another folder so when the game is updated and can just paste it in again, know what i mean?
just wanting to know what file name it is? which one is the configuration setting? thanks, MG.

Make regular backups of your autoexec.cfg (if you have anything in there) as well as saved.cfg. Both can be found in the config folder (either in your AC home dir, or in the installation dir). saved.cfg stores all settings from the current session on quit, so that next time you fire up AC it won't forget them all.

Remember, settings you want will be easily stored in autoexec.cfg, while saved.cfg is automatically changed each time you quit the game.
If things get really effed up for you, running /resetcfg will clear it up a bit and enable you to use just the autoexec.cfg to write to saved.cfg.
Copying autoexec.cfg from one installation to the next is a good way of preserving your preferences, but remember that idents can change between versions, so keep a weather eye for what you'll want to adjust to! :D

Yea I didn't do that, and recently had to do a complete rewrite of my settings for 1104. D'oh! >_<
