whenever i try ti start AC, i always get this exact message, "the procedure entry point DecodePointer could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."
now, im only 16 and i don't get all this cpu guru talk, so somebody is gonna have to explain this to me in english

What version of Windows are you using? If you have XP, make sure you have the latest Servce Pack (3, I think) installed.
EDIT: AC probably runs no longer on Win 2000.

i just installed the service pack 3, and it still doesn't work
its XP. i tried to download the pack 3, but i think i need to install 2 first

You gotta check which operating system you got (like Gibstick wrote).

By the way Service Pack 3 is not the current service pack for Windows 2000 (it´s SP4).

i have XP, im in the middle of downloading all of the service packs
should i download all of them, or just 4?

there is no Service Pack 4 for Windows XP
Just use the update function and download everything he wants you to download :D

I second ärkefiende, but, if you have an issue with Windows Update, in my experience SP2 will go on an unpatched XP, but SP3 needs at least SP1. Stupid, but true.
