multiplayer trouble

I'm can't seem to play against ppl. I just get stuck in ghost form upon arrival and stay that way.even if the game ends. I've tried multiple servers, FAQs and other stuff, but nothing seems to be mentioned about this particular problem. Anyone care 2 help?=/
