Well, he doesn't use it all the time, that's why it isn't obvious.
If you take a good look at 11 minutes remaining, when he's hiding behind a box in the corner of CLA base, you can clearly see him shoot through it.
At the end of 9 minutes remaining, when he is down in the central ground on the stairs, he frags Burak//TR through the big wall. (this one is pretty obvious). I just watched it over at gamespeed 30 to be sure.
