Cannot connect to any servers

I am running openSUSE 11.3 and I recently upgraded to version 1.1. I now cannot connect to any servers. Next to each on the selection screen, it says "Newer Protocol." And when I try and enter one anyway, it says "you are using different game protocol (you: 1129 server 1130). How can I fix this?
