OPEN has a few changes to give our guests a more enjoyable environment. See yellow text below if you do not agree to one or more of these rules/guidelines.
OPEN SERVER -- 8 Simple Rules
1. TEAMKILLING: Teamkilling happens all the time and cannot generally cannot be dealt with for everytime someone is teamkilled; however, if you are found teamkilling intentionally or excessively, you may be removed from the server.
2. LANGUAGE: The majority of us here are not kids. Come on, please be adult about it and do not insult other clients, or use any offensive language on the server. We do not mind phrases such as "wtf, gtfo, omg, etc". Racism/Sexism will not be tolerated! If you are racist, you are banned! If you attempt to promote war in RL (real life), you are banned!
3. FLAME/SPAM: Flaming is defined as annoying other clients on purpose, telling admins what to do, or getting in a situation that does not involve you and is between admin and another client. SPAM is defined as: "Stupid Pointless And Meaningless" comments/gestures, or saying the same thing over and over again. (Including: voice com spam, holding binds)
4. CAMPING: Unlike other servers, camping is permitted on OPEN. Exceptions: An Admin or mod may ask you to move somewhere else on the map or not camp for a certain length of time if they feel that you are camping far too much. By this, we mean: spawn camping, base camping. Rather than killing the same player 20 times, which is just not fun, please give them a chance here and there to escape their base.
5. ILLEGAL ACTIVITY: This particular rule is enforced for a reason! Discussions of illegal activity on the server is not permitted and could land you banned for a long time. This includes but not limited to: Drug talk, attempting to get minors to visit adult websites, file sharing copyrighted content, teaching users how to make bombs (yes we've had a couple of these ridiculous clients attempt this discussion on the server), and all other illegal activities that have not been stated.
6. NAMES: Please do not use any offensive names on the server. Exceptions: "yomomma" or drug-based names are permitted as long as you don't promote drug use, racism, or sexism along with your name. For duplicate names: Other than "unarmed" players, please do not use other people's names. If there is 2 players on the server with the same names -- example: DG|KoolZ, the impersonator will be asked to rename.
7. CHEATING: If you are caught cheating, you will be permanently banned. We also know how to range ban, as well as block proxies/VPN services so don't bother trying as you will just waste your time and make yourself look silly.
8. ADMINS: We ask that you listen to the Admins/Mods at all times without a fuss. If you do have a problem with a specific admin or mod, please see "rampage" (forum name: rampage.wd) OR the server owner, Kenny. Do not get in the middle of a situation that you are not involved in. If you do have a problem with how that admin handled a specific player, approach him or her AFTER they are finished dealing with the situation and request that you speak to them in private. They will not crap on you. If they do, see rampage.
FOLKS: This server does not belong to me, it does not belong to the admins/mods or even Kenny. It belongs to ALL of us. If you feel that something is too strict or not strict enough on the servers, PLEASE step forward and speak up! Don't bash people on the forums because it's childish and immature.
Please keep in mind that some rules will not be changed as we have kids between ages 12-17 playing on the server. If for some reason we cannot accept your request, then perhaps the OPEN server is not right for you; but, we will do our best to make it enjoyable for you.
