You complain about the game catering to the "elites". I will agree that the players you refer to as "elites" do have the most say in the direction AC takes, but that is because they are the most active. The are on the forums, on IRC, and generally show interest in the game. Thus, it is their opinions which are noted, while the opposing ideas are defended by people like RealViking.
