Sharing sources is common in nature and it isn't about communism, socialism or whatever.
The Internet is about such sharing, the information without sharing would be distributed as cars in cities, rich with more informations and new property of information: "ownership".
I think the model should be: you can buy information with some extra services but information itself should be free. Something extra should be prized, the casual should be free.
The market could handle it.
I think it is crazy the ownership of information can earn you money, because in the origin it isn't your information but is merged from others and declared as yours. The copyright laws should be changed.
The problem that people have with filesharing isn't that it allows sharing information, but rather that it allows distributing things like movies in such a way that the owners get nothing. Because of the ideas forced on them by Westernized education when it comes to capitalism and economics, they tend to forget about the actual purpose of sites like this on the internet: allowing a free way for people to share their knowledge and information with each other, which in opinion is the most important aspect of the Internet in general. Of course, I'm just the kind of person who finds beauty in simple things like 4chan, irc, and most free filesharing sites because it is there that people are free to express themselves in a way where their ideas are unfiltered by society's morals of right and wrong.
Changing copyright laws won't happen any time in the near future as the ideals behind them are too ingrained in our society for anything to happen unless there is some large violent backlash from people like us that is able to change the minds of the public in general. Of course, if most people on the internet are like me, this won't happen any time soon as at least I am way too lazy and too uncomfortable being in public to riot and fight for my beliefs.
