Mapping texture glitch ?

OK .. So heres how it goes.. So my maps looking all sexy yeah ? Then i texture stuff purrfect , then proceed to type /savemap ... Alls done, everyone happy right ? But nooo ... Right after pressing ENTER , the textures change to the one in the cube behind it ... IKR ??? Tried it a few times, retexturing etc.... The texture literally changes back right in front of me .... So uhh ... How to fix? :)
