1) you could roll back the drivers to a previous version.
2) Try "numbing" the graphic intensity; i.e. texture sizes, shadows, reflections and things of that nature. take it all the way down and see if you can play that way. its not beautiful, but at least you can hopefully play. this is when you are in Windows XP mode ofc.
3) Uninstall and reinstall both of them. you never know...it may profit after the second try.
With the processor and the graphics card, you should get many many frames. even in XP mode. as for the black screen, maybe it's a windows 7 issue; make sure to keep win7 updated. last note, you sure OpenGL installed correctly?
