Armor explanation?

Whats happening fellow fraggers :D

I come today with a question regarding armor *(as the thread subject implies)

I have played the game for 3 years now...and it occurred to me that

I am clueless as to how ARMOR actually works. I know the weapons and

movement...but that's it. I have searched the forums with nothing to show

for it. So any help would be appreciated...even a link
