"clearly" only applies to people who
1) regularly engage in clan matches and
2) agree that score should be ignored.

Don't try to imply that there is a set standard for clan matches that everyone agrees on. What you've been experiencing is the more limited miracle of two clans agreeing on some provisional ground rules.

But yes, I agree that specific score-building actions should be tallied and listed in a sub-menu of some sort (not coherent enough to make it an actual idea for the ideas thread though XD).
