If you go beyond defaults, all can have enormous changes in graphical interfaces. Yes, windows NEEDS a gaming mode. I hate how it just slows down as it ages. Wine actually works pretty well on linux for non .NET stuff. Even though M$ Windoze comes w/ every computer, Linux is free to upgrade.
