This reminds me of a thread way back in 0.93 suggesting a competition to make 1.0's startscreen, and everyone just ended up posting random startscreens made in MS Paint.
Although, I would like to see such a startscreen competition, hopefully it'll get attention or even be sponsored by the devs to make the next version of AC's startscreen (a bit like those install images thing). It would be pretty cool.
