This kind of change would require getting in to the source, of course...
If you are only looking through the config files and packages then that won't do much for you in this case.
Assuming you have the source folder in your AC folder, look in source > src > weapon.cpp and weapon.h
You might also consider making a GitHub account if you haven't already. Create your own fork from the AC project, and then make a pull request for your proposed changes once you have written them.
