Yeah, but it's more and more difficult to do that these days. It's not just disconnecting and dialling up again, or even leaving your modem unplugged overnight. A good number of IP leases are sticky now. With the provider I worked for, you wouldn't get a new address essentially unless you were somehow able to provision and wire yourself to a different pair at the crossbox.
