Not sure if actual question or a sort of a complain, but:
I'd say:
1) select the server you want to get in using either arrow key or mouse wheel, then use [enter] key or [left mouse button] to get in the server you selected
2) once you finally get in server, play as normal for like 3 minutes then be prepared to be banned/kicked for lagging.
3) In your case you should ask for a 'de-ban' password
4) Once you get one, repeat steps 1) and 2).
If that doesn't work:
5) Get a better internet connection or pause/stop any other services (torrents, irc, etc, etc) that might be using bandwidth.
