I think it would help to show what is actually happening. Because it is not choppy. I would describe it more as random acceleration of the mouse.

As you can see, it cannot be a problem like dust under the mouse because with the same mouse on a different computer it's fine.
Soo... yeah. I have no idea what's causing it. Could it be a problem with windows 8?
