Missing textures on maps?

Sometimes /getmap doesn't fix the missing texture problem for me on some servers the map has not been converted with the map convertor for 1.2 http://upload.assaultcu.be/mapcfg.php

Indeed, I noticed that myself on some servers and when I told them to get either the updated map version from AKIMBO or use map cfg converter I was told that they didn't bother, that it was just fine like that...

I don't get it, why would someone run a server full of missing content crap? Yet another AC mystery!
