mapmodels are called from cfgs
Go to config folder and open
default_map_settings.cfg
(in notepad)
There you uncomment (remove //) the extra stuff that you need
and then you save this as a NEW cfg with the name of your map and you put it in the same folder where your map is.
so example
/maps/mapname.cfg
/maps/mapname.cgz
If you want custom 3d models or more custom textures go to:
http://ac-akimbo.net/showthread.php?tid=147
http://ac-akimbo.net/showthread.php?tid=106
and add them to your maps cfg in new lines
like this
if up there on akimbo it says
packages/models/mapmodels/dcp/halfdoor
you will add
mapmodel 0 0 0 0 "dcp/halfdoor"
But first find that model or texture on akimbo and download it so you have it ready in
EXAMPLE: packages/models/mapmodels/dcp/halfdoor
(so you can actually see it in your map while editing)
Hope this covers some stuff about the complicated subject of making maps in ac:D
