Does it really have to be based on a historical event, or is just a historical location, or something that you think "could have existed" in history enough?
e.g. if your map is inspired by roman architecture, would that be considered historical in this contest?
Sorry for the misunderstanding, but yes, it can be a location you could expect to see from the past.
