in response to Aekom's post, there should definitely be a differentiation between the limit on pubs and in match mode, and is much more important. i would leer away from enforcing a limit on pubs, as that is just the result of bad server administration, and servers that don't play 10v10 arid will have more people playing on them.
for something like gothic it should be a 4 or 6 person max, in fact most maps should be a 4/6 person max besides power/iceroad/etc.
