Dubstep

Do you think it's a sophisticated genre?
I recently got into Dubstep. The melody plus crazy bass drops kinda grew on me. It was said that Dubstep is one of the fastest rising music genres in HISTORY, yea, history. Before you troll this thread by saying things like

"EW DUBSTEP IS FAKE AND GAY"
"WTF IS WUBWUBWUB"
"Skirlex? Skarlex WTFBBQ IS THIS???!!?"

Explanation

I suggest you take it all in.Most Dubstep songs take time for the drop to come. Don't just listen to ONE Dubstep song that doesn't sound quite good because of the seemingly heavy retarded bass and such. No, as with all things it takes a while for you to get used to Dubstep. Just like in Assault Cube if you get owned on your first day what is the point of hating on it. It just motivates you to get better. Please do not make assumptions is what I'm basically trying to convey here.

Dubstep In Me

Dubstep has even started making me think if I should make my own music. I saw Skrillex in Ibiza the video was just awesome.Just the entire Dubscene seems really awesome to me. What are your thought's if you already listen to it. Is Dubstep a new music Revolution?

Skrillex didn't make anything in the dubstep world, it's just the comercial version of the dubstep.

You must listen to DatsiK or Excision. (or all in one :p)
They'r making dubstep since the start and it's about real bass instead of fake skrillex's dubstep.

(yes 2008)

Is the first time I listen to this genre and it's not really my thing, too much bass for me, like if they are trying to find the marron note.

Or even Lapfox Trax with some Mayhem which is a little more techno:

Eh, dubstep revolves around the same synth. That synth is cool, however too overused now. Ye, synths are like instruments, however this is a synth better for effects and surprises rather than a central post for a genre.

I enjoy many electronic music genres especially house, progressive house, electro house, electropop, electro hop, dance, eurodance, dubstep and drum & bass.
I discovered dubstep in late 2010 thanks to Skrillex's single "Kill EVERYBODY" (not really a dubstep song but it's more electro house) and "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites".
DJs/producers/artists that make high quality dubstep songs and remixes (for my opinion) : Skrillex, Knife Party, Nero, Rusko, SkisM, Flux Pavilion, Feed Me, Excision, Skream, Doctor P...

I've listened dubstep before, but I finally moved to d&b and HS. The same rhythm, not the same synth every song but faster tune - thats why I like it.

I personally don't like dubstep AT ALL, but i do enjoy it when mixed with other genres.

For example, Your Demise (hardcore) has an album which features some dubstep intros. It sounds nice.

The album is called Ignorance Never Dies (if i remember correctly), for those interested.

Sorry but I prefer to listen to something with a tune as opposed to "wubwubwubwubweeeeeeeewwubwubwubwubwub"
Trance all the way!

You find me a dubstep tune better than that and I'll give you all the internetz you want

Somehow it seems to me that these people who listen to Skrillex and etc, doesn't even know where the original dubstep comes. For me these new artists are more like wub step than dub step. The fact that they make these repetitive and generic songs makes them just boring. Benga is one of the first dub step artists. I highly recommend him to those who don't dig dub step so much, you might actually like him. Here's one classic:

A couple of remix's of Nero's Crush on you, one by killsonik and one by knife party

A man that really impresses me is a guy called beardyman, creates some sick ass tunes with his voice and loop machine... must be fucked up in the head seeing his album though xD

Finally, if you're wanting some good dubstep, just go to UKF Dubstep on youtube (however all the classic dubstep is very low :( )

"The video of "Music Non Stop"is a tremendous example of virtual modeling and was created by Rebecca Allen and the team of NYIT Computer Graphics Laboratory. The pioneering work of developing these 3-D computer animations took more than two years to be completed."
