When I open the full set of maps i have the error comes up:
Win32 Exception: 0xc0000005 [0x0]
(Couldn't open packages\maps\official\preview\maps\deadmeat-8.jpg
I created a blank grey jpg there and then the error changed to:
Win32 Exception: 0xc0000005 [0x0]

Thanks for any help.

1. Move all your maps from the /packages/maps/ folder to somewhere else.
2. Copy them back one at at a time, each time loading AC to check for the error.
3. Stop when the error occurs; you've found the dodgy map.
4. Delete it
This bug has been fixed for the next release.

Remember the .cfgs
1883/2 = ~941.5
However, some maps dont have .cfgs, but I assume you have plenty of .BAKs.

Ah, you have a point there.
Alright, turns out I have 842 maps.
Why do I have .BAK's for maps I've never edited or even heard of?

If you join a server that's playing a different version of a map you already have, your map gets BAK'd up, and your client downloads the one from the server.
