cant download maps on my sever

so i have a server but whenever someone trys to upload or download a map it says it wont work, or "getmap" not prepared. please oh pretty please help me

A couple of issues here. You haven't been specific about what errors you're seeing when players are unable to upload maps, but please check that you've set the correct permission string in the server config (see docs and servercmdline.txt) and that you have an incoming folder in /servermaps/ with write permission for the user running the AC server.
As for "'getmap' not prepared", I usually only see this for 'official' maps, ie. those released with the game, since they will not need to be dowloaded by any client.
So, if this doesn't help, what, when and where are the exact errors you're seeing?
