I downloaded the
server check script but it does not work, probably due to the fact that it was made for 0.9x... Whenever I try it I get this on every server...
EDIT: OMG the original one still works, so it must be something related to my webhost... What could be the causes?

Well most (free) webhosts edit the php.ini and disable fsockopen. Change to a better one.

That's the problem. fsockopen is actually enabled, I tested it with another script that checks whether a website is online or not, and it works...

Maybe it's only enabled for port 80.
