Mac Tutorials!
#1
Due to the lack of knowledgeable mac users on the forums (sorry if you are one, you just dont post enough ;) ) and the plethora of mac users asking questions, I decided that it was time for me to provide a link we can give people. This link just so happens to be here.
I decided to place it in the same spot that the cubescript tutorials are, because I think it would be nice to build tutorials in the same spot.

Although it is in its primtive stages, I hope to add these things:
  • Server Hosting
  • F1/F2 and other Function Keys (added)
  • Adding Scripts
  • Adding Mods (the correct way)
  • Common Problems
  • Tips and Tricks
  • Manipulating FPS (cross-platform ofc)
  • and any other questions people find they need to ask
It wont be as long as the cubescript tutorials, however I hope it will be complete and helpful.
Feel free to post there or here to suggest topics, corrections, or other things I may need to know (such as, not being able to see the threads).

*common problems (what are they lol)

Well, I'll definitely reference his tutorials, and provide a link to them.
Although I think you misread me JGAN, I know how to solve all these problems. I will just be writing about them to save some of us the trouble of writing them several times over. However, if you want to contribute, just sign up, write an article, and I'll clean it up and provide a link to it in the index.

What are you saying "i dont think so" about?
Thanks given by:

that he misread you:
You seem to have read his words as though he intended to commandeer this project, when what he meant by "you got your man" was "I will be a great help to this!"

Ah, I slightly guessed that. Whatever you can do to contribute would be wonderful, as I am planning on helping V-Man with his tutorials! I will keep my tutorials in the same style, so I am going to writer my own server tutorial. Along with modding and scripting, I have some ideas about how it should be carried out safely and smartly.

Heh.
The tutorials are near the bottom of my priority list for a bit...
But they are on the list! :D

I'm pretty sure adding scripts and adding mods is the same to Linux, Windows, or Mac. Only difference would be obviously to know each OS saves its AC files and where each type of things goes to. Mods go to packages, scripts to config, etc. So I'm not quite sure that these steps should even be there.

EDIT: I have a Mac myself. I used to use a Windows, and really the only differences that people should know about are:
1. Where the AC files are.
2. How to make a server
3. How to use F1-F12 (fn +)
4. Probably some tips and tricks

Well, I'm covering questions that I have heard, and answers I have given.

Finding out the hidden catacombs of a Mac is a skill that needs to be taught with a specialized tutorial!
