Yes, the shotgun *may* be overpowered in 1.1, damage-wise, but ffs it's not the gib animation that is causing the problems...
People say that they won't play 1.1 because the shotgun can gib - A. It doesn't gib, it splatters, still only worth 1 kill. B. That is one of the pettiest excuses for not supporting a new version of a game that I've probably ever heard...
Bla bla bla... We all know what you said. Now tell me this, or better, give me an example on, how and when, in a real life, will a shotgun gib? Or maybe you are heading at making a fantazy game here? Maybe, someday, pistol will gib as well, for pure *cosmetics*?

Now that you asked me this, i will kindly need to ask you to stop watching so much Hollywood movies where everything gets blown up, every bad guy gets killed right away, and not the hero (at least until the end of the movie), where physics are taken from an alternative universe, and where shotgun shot at close range *breaks you in pieces*.

Haha, dude you're taking this too seriously. AC isn't gonna have a shotgun "gib" animation that is perfectly realistic, but, I promise, if you got shot at close range with a shotgun IRL, you would not be looking like your usual self as you lay on the ground dead...

First, thanks for proving me right.
Second, a shotgun does not gib in real life, but it definitely makes you look nasty. Since we are talking about the definition of *gibbing in AC*, only knife, sniper and nade *gib* you, taking you into pieces. True, you can take a person piece by piece with a knife (realistic, check), take a body part apart with modern sniper rifles (realistic, check), and when it comes to a nade... well it think we will all agree here. Shotgun in real life... Does it gib from a close range? No! It will blow you away a few feet away and give a nasty look, while keeping you 1 piece. If your answer was YES, then you should also allow AR and SMG to gib from close range. Why? IDK, for the same reason why you think a shotty gibs.

- High-velocity rounds can indeed do very nasty things to all body parts.
- Grenades do NOT cut you into handy pieces of meat - they just pepper you with shrapnel.
- IRL, no one would ever slice with a combat knife - those things are made to A) cut through razor wire or brush and B) to stab.
- Shotguns do NOT blow the victim away. That's all Hollywood nonsense. According to physics, if shotguns were powerful enough to do that, the shooter would be propelled backwards as well.
Generally, I don't think this has to be discussed. The effects modern weapons can cause are gruesome enough in reality, you don't have to depict that too exactly in games.

Well of course Assault Cube can not be *EXACTLY* like real life I know that a grenade will not cut you into small pieces so does most other people here. Simply you can not do that kinder stuff in a online game especially not for a free online game.

IMO, put a tiny peace of paper on the screen, where the text messages appear, then you won't see "gib" written :-)

i really don't understand why so much hatred against 1.1.....
also if i agree on the overpowered shotgun....but 1.1 is still fun to play as 1.0.4...
but now community is divided by 2 and this is sad.here is the point to solve.
we can't ask devs to throw their work away.just follow the evolution guys and see what will be the next update,this is what we have to talk about the next update.
stop childish complaining for detail and by this ruins this game (at least his community).

All we are trying to do is to make some points which hopefully will be implemented in the "next updates", as you said. But when doing so we also want to play the game which is played by more than 50% of the AC players, which is the 1.0.4 version. That is all ;)
