Many "members" on that forum seems to be spam bots (in their signature through).
What about a captcha at registration ?
(or an activation by admin, but it'd make it really tedious)

Er... didn't I just post here? Whatever, I'm dumb.
I'm quite sure those spambots are registered manually. Otherwise there would be hundreds rather than dozens.
@idiots: seriously, the real spam is sufficient.

tempest...
I'm quite certain the bots are somehow automatically registering. And there are hundreds, most of them have just not posted yet (biding their time or something)?
Take a look at the member list (sorted with the most new members first), you will find that there are dozens of new spam bots joining every day.

Insert recaptcha for registering and maybe for the first post, or what help against automatic bot registrations (that are not custom targeted), add a field where the users have to enter something when registering (eg. What's the name of this game? -> AssaultCube).

And I still stand by my earlier suggestion of all of us spamming their websites with AC stuff.
...DOS, anyone?
I'm newer myself, and I don't see how a spam bot could register, then activate it using the email. I would think it's some kind of manual listing seo firm or something. Maybe just make it a bit more tedious to register, such as a captcha and and extra step or two. That would make it a bit less profitable.

Ok it seems they are not bots after all.
But that means there's probably a sweatshop full of people approving captchas u_u

How about disabling signatures completely? (At least don't display them for now)

They spam the forum cos they hope to get there signatures in post.
But as we know, signatures only show up in profile.
Thats why you can see a lot of *Spam removed* in some peoples profile.

I know. I just think they must have already noticed that signatures don't show up below their posts, so I guess they're doing it to at least get them somewhere. Search engines can access profiles just as fine as posts, and they know that too.

Just make signature character limit 0.5 characters.
