cold
being in australia we get up to 45 degrees Celsius heat in some parts of perth on extreme days but also can go down to 5 degrees. most euro's will say 5 isn't cold but that's a range of 40 degrees and by far it is much better being in cold weather

Cold, can put on as many jackets as you want. If its hot, you can only take off so much clothing.

Cold. I guess it depends as what you class as cold though, I'm happy to wear short-sleeved t-shirts in 5 degrees (celsius).

I think the hottest temperature I've ever experienced is probably about +40 C, while the coldest is probably about -40 C. Central Alberta will swing between -40 C and +30 C in a typical year (we'll hit both those extremes a few days each year).
+40 C is obviously much more survivable than -40 C, but I still like the cold better - this is probably only because we have these wonderful things call buildings which can be used to heat human bodies. Generally speaking, they're much better at keeping bodies warm in cold temperature than cool in hot temperature.

I'd probably have to say Hot. I've only ever experienced as low as -33 Celsius (-27.4 F) including windchill here in NL, Canada. It's not fun. Your face freezes if it is exposed to the cold for any length of time. Having to wear a balaclava sucks. The summers here reach about +20-30 Celsius (68-86 F)
I've also experienced +52 Celsius (125.6 F) once when I was at the Hoover Dam in Arizona. It was hot, but not the same kind of heat as 30 degrees Celsius where I live. We have high amounts of humidity in the summer which makes the heat less bearable. Arizona heat in my opinion felt different. I would compare it to placing your hand near a hot burner on your stove (but not touching it). I could bare the heat with water and AC, therefore I would rather Hot than Cold.

You are right, Arizona's weather is very strange. The word I think you are looking for is dry.

Hot. I hate waiting at a bus station when it's freezing cold and windy. Also, wearing a lot of clothes isn't nice. When it's hot all you need is water and antiperspirants and you're good to go.

Defineitly hot, all the girls are at the beach getting tans with the smallest amount of string on, but I love traveling up north for Christmas it feels more festive.

I love the cold. Everything is better in winter. Reading by the fire, a cup of hot tea, walking hand in hand with a special person, cuddling under the thick blanket. The cold is more easily controlled. I'll grant that we have mild winters in Texas and we never have to bundle up all that much, and if we're going to go to extremes I'd rather be hot in Phoenix than cold in Alaska. As it is here, though, I much prefer the cold.

I hate bugs so the fact that we have freezing temperatures and snow on the ground already in New York is a good thing.

Freezing, stinging hands. The shivers, and chattering of teeth when the only thing you want is to be warm.
Tempting but I'll pass. I'd rather just perspire.

Having just come back from a holiday in Dubai and returning to a minus 5 degrees northern England, i can say i prefer hot weather.
