i'm sometimes blocked, it can help connecting with a different quakenet server

EDIT: just noticed in the error message you got "You can connect to QuakeNet using a normal IRC client in the mean time, however we strongly advise you check your PC or network for problems.", try using a proper irc client :)

i use Xchat Aqua on my hackintosh or IceChat when i boot to windows :p
never had problems
