ey guys,
I have a little problem with connecting to some private servers. This could be because I had a new router installed yesterday but I did had this problem with one server before I chanced router.
First of all:
- sorry for my english; pls ask if something is unclear
- I am a noob in computer things, if you want to help me, try to be clear :D
For instance I can connect to all server who are listed in my server list.
+ hlin 5999
+ hlin 6999
But commands like:
/connect hlin.woop.us 7999 match
/connect hlin.woop.us 8999 match
/connect hlin.woop.us 9999 match
/connect uk.myys.tk 7999 match
/connect uk.myys.tk 8999 match
/connect uk.myys.tk 9999 match
give this error:
what I did:
- update my AC
- restart AC
- used other computer
- use another nickname
- restart my router
nothing worked.
Maybe it has something todo with my IP? or my Internet?
idk. macm tried to help me but we didnt find the solution.
Pls guys help this poor guy :3
Thanks!

Well, I noticed that your IP is included in =SA='s whitelist. However, you supplied one IP as opposed to a range. Check your IP and make sure it is the same as the one that is on =SA= whitelist.
Also, the screenshot you uploaded doesn't work. Edit your post if you can and try and get that to work. The screenshot might help someone figure it out.

wat? if it's that then your name is simply not allowed for some reason. contact the server owner.

I think this might be a problem with DNS resolving. What happens if you try /connect 37.59.117.159 7999 match
instead? (that's the IP for hlin.woop.us)

Poor ThePrinter ):
Solution: Move in to my home in Canada? AC ALL DAY YAYYY
ontopic:
Have you tried some of the American servers? Have you tried connecting from another computer outside of your home? (If it works elsewhere, then obviously it's something with your internet connection and nothing to do with your nick. I guess we found that out already though).

I suspect different ports are used on the ones he can connect to. To fix the problem exceptions need to be created in the firewall for the servers using the blocked ports.

Have you already tried to momentarily turn off your firewall and try to connect?

They are created in the router, but reading further back it seems you do not have access. I am very much afraid that without it the firewall will block those and very little can be don about it. Have you confirmed its def the firewall, maybe by taking the laptop elsewhere and trying with a different router?

No I have not confirmed that. Maybe it's my ip-adres?

Port forwarding wouldn't need to be done in the case of one client not being able to connect. If no one can connect, it might be indicative of some error with ports being forwarded.

You are saying I should try out another AC client?
Personally I dont think thats it. Cause: I also cant connect to BoB and w00p teamspeak.
This afternoon ill try forwarding the ports. Lets hope it works.

This is what I get:
I put a stroke through my IP.
and for translation (dutchcomputer)
3th line: Tracing the route to woop.us
4th line: Through maximum 30 'hops'
Then several times: Time-out with command
Then on the one before the last line: The trace has been completed.
What does this mean? I'm a noob in this -,-

It looks like your connection is making it past your own router (192.168.1.1), which probably means that it isn't a problem with your firewall or any such thing. Then it reaches your ISP, after which it meets with a considerable delay before going further. It is probably during this time that the connection times out in AssaultCube. This means it could be an issue outside of your control.
I'm not sure, though. Maybe the second hop represents your ISP's modem (computer -> your router -> ISP modem -> internet), so you should try connecting directly to the ISP's modem via ethernet cable, log in to the admin interface on it, and disable its firewall. Your own router will have a firewall, so having one on the ISP's modem is unnecessary, and I find that the firewalls on those modems tend to cause trouble.
Windows key + R, 'cmd', and type: ipconfig
Find the "Default Gateway" beneath "Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection"
Browse to that IP address in your web browser. You will probably have to log in. The password might be on the modem's label, or else you will have to Google for "[modem brand] [model number] default password".
