can someone tell me what type of objectives there are, and what to do? i tried multiplayer and ended up with the flag. i had no idea whether i was to defend it take it to a base, or something. a later search on the home page said to take it to the base, which i have no idea where that is either. also, is there any good strategy for fighting? i'm playing the bots now so i can get the hang of it, but even then i'm having some minor trouble (and all they do is jump around and take random pot shots!).

Run around the maps and learn them. Playing with bots is a good idea! Also check out my strategy guide.

I don't think they are bots. They are saying completely logical stuff- probably hand created and spam posting.

KN!F3... you would not believe how "smart" are some bots.
I was used to chat with CS bots in 2001, and they were really stupid compared to these ones.

Their are a couple ways to tell what you playing, When picking a server it will say what game it is, KTF (Keep The Flag), CTF( Capture the Flag) , most game settings will tell you it is a team game by puting this --> T/ in front of any game type. When you are playing a game there are flag icons at the bottum right, some times icons have yellow on them that means its KTF or somthing like that. There are other game types that use flags but I'm too lazy to remember them all :P
Am I makeing any sense?

thanks, guys, and can i join any multiplayer room, since i see a lot of rooms that are named with a clan or person, so is there some honor system to not go and join someone else's room, or is it just a name and no one cares?

If it shows up on the masterserver, it's available for everyone to join. Usually the clan/player names are simply there to say that the said person/clan hosts the server.
