Reload Animations
After my first post, the one about assault cube herpderp, I found out that all of you HATE this game. Anyway, is it possible to have reload animations in assault cube? There are some cheap animations in assault cube reloaded. Is this possible in the normal assault cube? Please answer.
Please tell me I didnt post this in the wrong section again, did I? And I thought Assault Cube herpderp was associated with the Assault Cube team Lets see how long it takes for the first post to arrive..................... |

I don't really hate AC Reloaded, there are a lof of good ideas in, but it's a obviously a BS. |

RE: Reload Animations
Well, if someone creates reloading animations for the existing weapons, it will be no problem at all to add the code for that. Just a few lines actually.

RE: Reload Animations
They should be made, imo, it would not impact the gameplay too much and would look awesome.

RE: Reload Animations
If someone actually does them, make it better than reloaded's animations.
Those things were robotic and pretty meh. |

I don't know COD at all, i just can see the muzzleflash and maybe the hit mark. |

^: All the 'killstreak' symbols etc. are stolen from COD.
As for my opinion on the issue, I don't think it will happen. My computer is horrible and won't deal with it very well. |

I don't think this would put much more of a strain on your computer. Like tempest said, it would just be a few lines of code, and it would still be rendering about the same number of polys. The only thing that would increase would be the md3 filesize a tiny bit. |

RE: Reload Animations
Well, in the actual version of AC, the engine doesn't allow us modders to make a reload animation.
The probably worst thing about them is, that the new models for reloading will take 2/3 more polys than the non-reloading ones. But with a optional /reload on|off command this would be solved. |

RE: Reload Animations
I reckon it would be great. Like Myke said, if it could be toggled then it would be easy to keep both parties happy, as well as the devs (if it's just a coupla lines of code and the devs don't have to worry about producing the animations)
My two cents anyway. Can't wait for the new release. |

RE: Reload Animations
It is quite easy to remove the reload animations, and just as easy to customize them across weapons (so only some disappear and some don't), adding a CS var would be easy as well. Most of the work lies in remaking part of the weapon animation.
